Synopsis

BLOOD CONNECTION
In Blood Connection, the second installment of the gripping Chronicles of Detective
Sergeant Sipoko, veteran Lusaka cop Elias Sipoko grapples with the shattering fallout of a
high-stakes drug raid in Chibolya. Scarred by bullet-riddled close calls and professional
rivals circling like vultures, Sipoko returns home to a fractured domestic warzone: his wife
Magde's simmering rage over their teenage daughter Zabeta's unplanned pregnancy and
exile to a rural farm. Driven by guilt and a desperate bid for redemption, Sipoko embarks
on a perilous journey to Chongwe with his injured partner, Inspector Kalyalya, only to
stumble into a nightmarish web of human trafficking, illegal gold mining, and illicit timber
smuggling deep in Zambia's unforgiving bush.
Stranded and captured by the ruthless Toothless syndicateled by the gap-toothed enforcer
and his sadistic crew of Snake and BarrelSipoko and Kalyalya endure brutal labor, betrayal,
and a harrowing escape that tests the limits of brotherhood and survival. From treacherous
log bridges and sedative-laced escape plots to a botched police raid on a derelict
Copperbelt mine, the narrative pulses with raw tension, visceral action, and unflinching
portrayals of corruption rotting Zambia's underbelly. Amid the chaos, Sipoko confronts the
true cost of his unyielding principles: a daughter lost to resentment, a marriage on the
brink, and a badge under tribunal scrutiny from envious colleagues Sims and Tenda.
As whispers of deeper departmental rot surface and an enigmatic herbalist, Bana K, offers
fleeting solace, Sipoko must navigate the razor edge between duty and family. Blood
Connection weaves pulse-pounding thriller elements with poignant explorations of
paternal regret and cultural resilience, culminating in a defiant stand for justice that blurs
the line between hero and haunted everyman. In this 100-page pulse-raiser, debut author
Stu Neta (under ADDPRINT's imprint) delivers a taut, Zambia-rooted tale where blood
familial and spilledbinds tighter than any chain.
